Form of workTectonic, a multi-disciplined engineering firm, is actively seeking a full-time Project Engineer to work on various Civil, Structural, Solar, and EV engineering projects based out of our Irvine, CA Office. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a team of diverse engineering professionals that can provide guidance and mentorship to support career advancement and development into a leadership role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The essential functions of this position include working collaboratively and assisting with coordination of various types of structural, civil, and solar engineering projects with staff engineers and CAD designers as well as clients and third-party vendors to assist in the process of providing high quality deliverables to our clients. The Project Engineer will work on the design, inspection, and coordination of all phases of civil/site development, including new site builds, site layouts, and site modifications and upgrades on wireless telecommunications cell site projects, structural engineering projects, and solar projects. Additional functions including generating required engineering reports for review, performing site visits to gather data and perform site inspections, reviewing drawings and calculations, as well as all other duties as required. This position may require occasional overnight travel.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS Degree in Civil Engineering and an EIT are required; candidate should be motivated in pursuit to obtain Professional Engineering license;
- 3-7 years of related civil, structural, solar and/or EV work experience;
- Experience working on wireless telecommunications projects is strongly desired and structural experience is a plus;
- Knowledge of AutoCAD 2020 or newer, with proficient computer skills;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Requires a valid, clean driver’s license and a personal vehicle, as travel to job sites as required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is often required to assume a stationary position, and regularly perform tasks that require the handling, inspection, and/or feeling of documents, materials, and/or equipment relevant to the job and communicate about same. Occasionally, the employee will need to move around on the job-site, sometimes while lifting and/or moving equipment up to 25 lbs and/or in hazardous weather conditions. The employee must be able to safely operate a motor-vehicle, in which they may be required to remain stationary for a prolonged period of time. They must be able to receive and convey detailed or important information with others using the Corporate e-mail system, telephone system, and conferencing systems. Employees may also be required to undergo substance abuse testing in accordance with project requirements, US DOT Regulations, and/or Company policy.The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform essential functions of this job. PAY RANGE
Tectonic’s goal is to compensate employees fairly and equitably across all positions Companywide. Our advertised pay ranges are representative of our good faith effort to provide a reasonable anticipated salary range. The offered pay may be outside of the provided salary range based upon the selected candidate’s work location, experience, education, certifications, and capabilities compared to the advertised position.
Pay Range: $70,000 - $90,000 / year
