Project Developer

Job Duties:

• Manage or execute the tasks required for the development of remodeling and construction projects during the Development and Construction phases including:
  • Coordination and management of the design process.
  • Develop project scope of work documents.
  • Develop project cost estimates and budgets.
  • Develop project schedules.
  • Develop project selection lists.
  • Support the Sales process by producing proposal, drawings and supporting documents for sales presentation and client review and approval.
  • Notify trades and vendors of secured projects and whether they have been selected for the project.
  • Schedule and conduct meetings to officially hand off projects to the Production team.
  • Finalize project schedules, selection lists, and construction drawings, as needed.
  • Prepare, submit, and obtain required construction permits.
  • Order long lead material items and selections.
  • Final scheduling of all trades and materials for each assigned project.
• Update project schedule, records, status, and completed items and file deliverables in electronic and hardcopy format, as required.
• Maintain knowledge of current applicable building codes and consistently research innovative products, techniques, and changes in the home building industry through continuing education classes, online learning, and seminars in industry topics.

• Provide clear, accurate, complete and on-time required and requested reports and communications.
• Ensure all assigned company vehicles, equipment, and workspaces are kept clean and well-maintained.

Applicant Requirements:

• Must have a clean background.
• Pass a drug screen.
• 5 or more years of experience in residential or commercial design/build remodeling and estimation.
• 2 or more years of experience managing residential or commercial design/build remodeling projects.
• A certificate or bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient use of estimating, project management, and client management software and systems.
• Proficient in the use computers, digital technologies, and Microsoft Office tools and technologies.
• Valid Texas State driver’s license.
• Valid Social Security Number.
• Able to lift 25 pounds without assistance, and to climb a 6-foot ladder without assistance.
