Project Coordinator, App

Position Summary

As a Mobile Applications Project Coordinator, you are a critical team member responsible for many of the day-to-day operations of the mobile applications program in support of New Product Introductions (NPI) development. In this role, you create project plans and with inputs from Product, Marketing/Brand, Creative, Customer Service teams, layered on top of Product manufacturing cycles. You will ensure the ongoing quality and functionality of our internal app releases through testing coordination of app and app-compatible product experiences. You will regularly prepare and present updates to relevant management channels, ensuring that we meet product app support deliverables. You will support the continuous improvement of the consumer facing app through ongoing user acceptance testing, providing customer support through the app stores, and recommending experience optimizations. Under the guidance of the App Solutions Architect, you will maintain strong working relationships across IT, Digital, Product, Creative, and our contractors and development partners alike to build best-in-class product and application experiences.

Primary Functional Responsibilities

• Lead Project Management - NPI development syncs, app team collaborations, agendas, meeting notes and preparatory work to support NPI and overall program needs.
• Assign and monitor resources effectively to boost project efficiency and maximize deliverables output.
• Manage product samples across app stakeholders, manage testing devices and product through product manufacturing and firmware iterations.
• Firmware Management - Maintain latest NPI firmware and hardware amongst product programs and across project development teams.
• Support NPI test teams with technical questions, issues. Troubleshoot to clear firmware, quality, product team blockers.
• Report project risks and outcomes to appropriate management channels, and escalate issues according to project work plan.
• Respond to app reviews and analyze feedback to continuously improve the app.
• Serve as the liaison between the App Team and the Customer Service Team to support consumer needs cross-functionally.
• Support app translations through translations process and validation. Maintain and support ongoing localization efforts with Applanga/Transperfect and development teams.
• Serve as a general resource on the App Team to perform other ad-hoc app related work as needed (individual contributor)

Secondary Responsibilities

• Test new development tracks for Skullcandy, Skull-iQ and Skull-HQ production apps and product experiences.
• Collaborate with App Testing Technician / Quality Assurance team to formulate comprehensive testing strategies for app releases, considering business needs, product and app requirements, and design intents to efficiently define the testing plans.
• Serve as point of contact for internal and external testing resources. Organize testing teams based on the project, while adhering to tight deadlines in the release schedule.
• Consolidate testing results and share with project team, coordinate prioritization of bug fixes with the App Solutions Architect. Enter discovered bugs, issues, and actionable fixes for the development team to work on.

Required Experience & Skills

• Education: Preferred Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or mobile application and software/technology experience
• Familiarity with Google Play and Apple Store
• Familiarity with project management tools like Smartsheets, Confluence, GitHub, Trello, Jira a plus
• Experience and comfortable with data and reporting
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, confident, strong, and friendly demeanor to motivate participants
• Proven aptitude for learning, desire for success, and ability to work in an ambiguous environment
• Self-starter with proven track record of proficiency completing tasks and balancing multiple on-going priorities
• Experience in coordinating teams and partners
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in cross-functional environment
