Consider joining our team and work with peers who have vast industry knowledge and experience solving complex problems.  Step Into Your New Role Kleinfelder is seeking a dynamic, well-organized, and detailed-oriented Project Controls professional to join our San Jose team.  This person will be a part of a growing team within an expanding company supporting local infrastructure projects that help the public and are happening in your community!   The Kleinfelder Project Controls Team continues to grow and support our Northern California operations. When you join our team you will network with other Project Controls employees across the Sacramento - Stockton - San Francisco - Oakland - San Jose offices!  We thrive when we collaborate and learn from each other. Kleinfelder Project Controls Team engages in mentorship opportunities and a flexible work schedule.  The Project Controls Specialist performs tasks in support of project budget, schedule and reporting activities.  This position assists Kleinfelder's project managers and program managers with the development and organization of project data such as fee estimates, earned value, status reports, cost reports, backlog projections and resource needs.  The Project Controls Specialist works under general supervision from the Senior Project Controls Manager within specific guidelines and protocols on routine and semiroutine assignments. Responsibilities will include:

• Cost Tracking and Budget Analysis Assists with data collection and implementation of accounting methods, budget tracking, burn rates, estimates to complete, earned value analysis, and status reports based on Project Manager or Senior Project Control Specialist direction.
• Cost Proposals / Rate Analysis - Assists in development of cost proposals or fee estimates to meet client needs. Performs rate analysis to optimize project performance.
• Change Management - Assists in tracking and monitoring the change management process.
• Scope Management - Review of contract terms and conditions and compliance with delivery of final work product. Tracks scope changes and deviations. 
• Invoicing - Supports a high level of invoice management and finance support for the project team.
• Project Related Tasks Assists with project stakeholder meetings (internal or external) and ensures timely response to stakeholders.
• Project Delivery Team Support - Assist and support Project Manager, assigned project staff, and Senior Project Control Specialist as requested.
• Communication - Creation and maintenance of project specific tracking logs and daily communication (i.e. email) to project team and stakeholders. 

 Required Skills and Experience:

• Associate degree in Finance, Business, Project Management or equivalent combination of education and experience required.  B.S. in Finance/Accounting preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of engineering or construction Project Controls experience
• Well-developed presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). 

 Preferred skills:

• Power BI proficiency 
• Microsoft Project Scheduling experience

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Pay Transparency Law.  Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $57,908 - 96,594.
