Responsibilities You Will Own as a Project Accountant:
As a Project Accountant, you will be at the forefront of financial management for construction projects:
Efficient Setup: Initiate and set up new jobs in our system for seamless project management.
Precise Cost Tracking: Monitor project costs, including change orders, ensuring the accuracy of financial information.
Billing Oversight: Manage billings and review contracts for deliverables and collections, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
Risk Mitigation: Handle lien waivers and certificates of insurance requirements, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.
Collaborative Communication: Work closely with project managers to provide status updates and address any changes or issues that may arise.
Inspection Coordination: Daily coordination of inspection calls and scheduling.
Qualifications We're Looking For:
To excel in the Project Accountant role, bring the following qualifications:
Relevant Experience: 5+ years in Accounting or a Project Coordinator role within the construction industry.
Financial Acumen: Strong understanding and ability to accurately track costs.
Proactive Attitude: Be self-directed, proactive, and take ownership of your work with a high level of accountability.
Continuous Learner: Demonstrate a natural curiosity and a desire to learn.
Effective Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with the project team.
Tech Savvy: Proficiency in MS Excel.
