Vertex is seeking a talented individual with a track record in US commercial analytics roles to join our US Pain Business Unit to support our journey to bring forth new options for the treatment of pain. The Program Systems and Data Insights, Programs and Patient Support Senior Manager will manage all aspects of the data analytics, insights generation and systems integrations to support the US Pain Programs and Patient Support Business Unit, which is preparing for potential commercialization of an investigational novel selective inhibitor of NaV1.8 in acute pain. This role will drive the implementation of key patient and HCP programs that enable our innovative go-to-market launch model, working to help ensure that appropriate patients have access to our medicines are that HCPs and Patients understand program offerings and relevant requirements. This individual will be charged with building the analytical infrastructure of critical programs for the business including our Patient Support program and sampling program. We are seeking a candidate that has demonstrated success in supporting complex programs, using data to glean actionable insights to deliver exceptional Patient Support and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovation-focused environment. This role will report to the Director of Pain Programs and Patient Support.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain sophisticated excel forecasting models for budget, monthly forecasting, PO management and inventory tracking for Programs and Patient Support
- Provide proactive analysis, insights and recommendation to influence partner selection and budget efficiencies in contract development
- Responsible for building analytics infrastructure and reporting needs to support the Programs and Patient Support team; ability to utilize data to drive actionable insights; data steward for all financial assistance and pharmacy claims data
- Responsible for building and maintaining external partner dashboards to monitor KPI performance; sharing monthly trends, and GTN impact
- Compiling and presenting key Data Insights to senior leaders and cross-functional teams, including program utilization and future projections
- Serve as the liaison with commercial IT teams to have needs prioritized for data integrations with external partners
- Cross-functional collaboration with US Pricing and Market Access, Commercial Analytics, Accounting and Finance, Programs and Patient Support teams
- Act in complete and total compliance with all laws, regulations and Vertex policies, champion compliance related to unique issues for support Programs and Patient privacy
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 6+ years of educational/work experience in healthcare and/or analytics, including previous experience working with Patient Support, specialty pharmacies, access, and reimbursement teams, and/or field force teams within a pharmaceutical company
Required Skills
- Experience in pharmaceutical access and reimbursement, including knowledge of co-pay, PAP and payer landscape trends, commercial systems, and analytics
- Experience with analytics and forecasting for financial assistance programs; proficiency with claims, prescription, retail pharmacy, and other sales data sources (e.g., CRM)
- Understands how Systems and Databases are structured, can consolidate multiple data sources, and synthesize large datasets into key insights and recommendations
- Proficiency in Power BI and Tableau
- Strong understanding of technical design, data engineering and transformation logic
- Skilled in communicating with a range of audience types, particularly the ability to translate business questions into analytically actionable questions when partnering with non-analytical stakeholders
- Practical orientation and consultative mindset on how to leverage analytics for decision-making and impact on customer experience
- Comfortable working in a highly collaborative and results-driven environment within a growing business unit where we are concurrently learning & building as we drive towards product launch
- Demonstrated understanding of the legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements for pre- and post-approval activities and ability to model expected behavior for the team
