TheStudent ServicesProgram Manager will play a pivotal role providing employment experiences to youth with disabilities coming out of the schools system looking for their first employment experience. Your program provides tailored support and guidance to empower these young individuals in acquiring valuable skills and experience that will pave the way for future paid employment opportunities. This will involve developing and implementing customized training programs, facilitating workshops, and coordinating with various stakeholders to create a nurturing and inclusive environment. Additionally, the Program Manager will work hand-in-hand with the youth to identify their unique strengths and interests, helping them to navigate potential career paths and setting them on a trajectory towards a successful and fulfilling professional journey. This position holds the potential to make a lasting impact on the lives of these young individuals, fostering their growth and confidence as they transition into the workforce.
The pay range for this position is $68,640 to $72,072.

A typical day will include:
- Maintain close contact to San Diego Regional Center partners to ensure a steady stream of referrals
- Conduct assessments with referred clients to understand the strengths, interests, and specific needs of each participant
- Assist clients with Onboarding activities and other employment questions as they arise
- Design and develop customized training programs tailored to the unique abilities and goals of the youth, ensuring they gain relevant skills.
- Provide one-on-one guidance to help clients explore potential career paths, aligning their interests and strengths with suitable employment opportunities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with potential employers, creating opportunities for job placements and internships.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- BA. or B.S. with coursework applicable to the social services field or 6+ years of extensive related professional experience.
- 2 years hands on experience working with people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
- 1 year supervisory experience and program coordination
- Understanding of and applicable experience in case management
- High comfort working in multiple systems to track service outcomes
- Excellent Excel skills
- Valid CA Driver’s License; own reliable transportation to travel to various locations through the county
We’d love it if you:
- Have experience using electronic case management systems (Therap)
- Have experience in referral and funding procedures with the DoR and SDRC
- Have experience in employment case management
- Are multilingual (English, Spanish, Tagalog)
