Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Program Manager, Quality & Food Safety - to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations within our industry. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess, develop, implement, and maintain quality and regulatory processes that align with our company's goals and objectives. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality products while adhering to regulatory requirements.


Primary Job Duties


Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay updated with relevant industry regulations, standards, and guidelines to ensure company-wide compliance.
  • Monitor changes in regulations and proactively identify potential impacts and solutions on the organization's products and processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of regulatory submissions and documentation as required.

Quality Management:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and standards in accordance with relevant regulations and industry standards
    • Create and implement the quality management process in accordance with company, industry and regulatory standards.
    • Maintain systems and processes to ensure compliance with company, industry and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and refine quality assurance procedures and standards.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the investigation of quality issues and deviations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).

Document Control:

  • Manage the organization, storage, and retrieval of quality and regulatory documentation.
  • Ensure proper version control of documents and maintain a structured and organized document management system.

Risk Assessment and Management:

  • Conduct risk assessments on products, processes, and systems to identify potential quality and regulatory risks.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement risk mitigation strategies.

Training and Communication:

  • Provide training to employees on quality and regulatory procedures, ensuring awareness and understanding across the organization.
  • Communicate updates and changes in regulations and quality processes to relevant teams.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects to enhance processes and systems.
  • Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for process optimization.


Requirements:

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Food Sciences, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs) is preferred.
  • Prior experience in quality assurance, regulatory affairs, or a related field within the industry.
  • Strong understanding of industry regulations, standards, and guidelines (e.g., FDA, ISO, GMP).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with various teams and regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and independently when required.
  • Proficiency in using document management systems and quality management software.
  • Experience with risk assessment methodologies and root cause analysis.
  • Regulatory certification (e.g., RAC) is a plus.
