The Institute of Living, one of the first mental health centers in the U.S., remains one of America’s leading not-for-profit centers for patient care, research and education in the fields of behavioral, psychiatric and addiction disorder. Through our dedicated, experienced and skilled clinicians, we provide patients and their families with the highest quality of personalized care. Programs are offered for children, adolescents and adults struggling with mental illness as well as offering services specializing in Anxiety, Eating Disorders, and Geriatric Services.
Job Summary
The Psychiatric Program Manager has overall clinical/administrative responsibility, accountability and authority for the functioning of the assigned program. In collaboration with Program Psychiatrist, who has overall medical/psychiatric authority for patient care, the Psychiatric Program Manager insures that high-quality, cost effective care is delivered by the program. The Psychiatric Program Manager is responsible for ensuring the financial viability of program through referral development and coordination with other hospital services and departments, and provides overall leadership to the program.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's required in related field, Ph.D., MSN, MSW preferred.
- Appropriate certifications, registrations and licenses are required.
- Three years’ experience working with psychiatric patients and demonstrated sensitivity to and knowledge of the particular issues affecting the care of this population.
- Must have a strong, credible clinical background in the care of severely ill, psychiatric patients.
