Job description

Title: Program Manager of Opportunity Youth (SAURA) - 2nd Shift
Location: Logan Square
Shift: 2nd Shift (4 pm - 12:30 am)

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to fill the role of Program Manager for Opportunity Youth at our SAURA Center. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing leadership and vision, ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical services to Justice-Involved youth in our Youth Residential Services (YRS) programs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assigns and completes work assignments collaboratively with program staff, ensuring adherence to established policies.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors procedures for effective service delivery and administrative efficiency.
  • Conducts interviews, hires staff, and implements organizational policies under higher-level guidance.
  • Completes performance evaluations for staff, providing constructive feedback.
  • Provides direct services for clients, cases, and projects, including offering transportation to youth.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with relevant groups, participating in management team meetings.
  • Stays current in the field, providing training to staff and participating in goal setting.
  • Assumes responsibility for accurate program reports and coordinate issue resolution.
  • Maintains a professional demeanor and responds to on-call crisis situations 24/7.
  • Adheres to professional standards and assists in developing organizational plans related to standards.
  • Provides periodic evaluative reviews and staff training to ensure adherence to standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Youth Care Worker, Environmental Control Technician, Driver. Provides indirect supervision for Senior Case Manager, Mental Health Clinical Practitioner, and other education positions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institute.
  • Minimum two (2) years of residential work experience.
  • Driver’s License required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (K/S/A):

  • Bilingual language skills preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Ability to collaborate and demonstrate emotional intelligence.
  • Self-motivation, analytical ability, and strategic thought partnership.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to handle diverse situations.

Location:
The primary program site is located in the Logan Square area of Chicago. Employees may be required to report to any one of our locations on a temporary or permanent basis.
