Position Overview: Program Manager, NYC (Full-Time)
Common Threads is seeking a Program Manager to oversee programs in Brooklyn and the Bronx. The Program Manager is responsible for building relationships with elementary-middle schools and community-based organizations while also managing the implementation of Common Threads’ in-school and after-school programs. He/she is also responsible for maintaining a high quality of implementation, scheduling, auditing, and communication with school administrators and staff, community partners, and the Common Threads team. There will be frequent travel within all 5 boroughs of NYC to partner schools and a training trip to Albany once a year.
This position is funded through SNAP-Ed.
Responsibilities:
Manage school/partner relationships in Brooklyn and the Bronx, including:
Successfully build and maintain partnerships with schools and other community organizations to maximize reach to participants and sustain SNAP-Ed programming
Build and maintain relationships with at least 1 healthcare provider
Recruit new schools and community-based organizations for partnerships per network growth goals
Work with school administration and teachers to schedule and implement programs
Manage specific program components, such as rosters, curriculum, and surveys
Oversee the quality of programming regarding curriculum and school relationships (frequent class visits are required)
Support the team with grocery procurement
Utilize our CRM to track all program data
Work in collaboration with the Research and Evaluation team to provide accurate data and reporting as required for SNAP-Ed funding
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required. Nutrition, dietetics, community and behavioral health, health education, public health, social work, or nursing background are highly preferred.
Experience in health education, nutrition, and obesity prevention communication highly preferred
3-5+ years’ experience in not-for-profit organizations preferred
Experience building and growing school, community, and healthcare based partnerships in New York City
Experience working with a CRM preferred
Strong time management and logical thinking skills; must be task-oriented
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong skills in written & verbal communication, organization, and collaboration
Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook, and Google Drive documents. Experience with other software, including Salesforce, PEARS, Slack, and Asana, a plus.
Experience working with culturally diverse audiences
Experience and/or high comfort level working virtually with internal and external team members

Compensation:
Salary range: $60,000 - $70,000 per year commensurate with experience.
Common Threads offers a competitive benefits package, including 15 days of paid time off, 15 paid holidays (including a week in winter), three floating holidays, mental, dental, vision (and other benefits), and a 401(K) retirement savings plan with the match beginning on the first day of the month after 60 days of employment.
Additional Information:
Common Threads employees are subject to a background check and fingerprinting prior to employment.
This is a full-time position that will primarily work Monday-Friday, but some nights and/or weekends may be required.
Candidates should reside within the New York City metro area.
This position reports to the Senior Program Manager located in NYC.
