Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: The Program Manager will organize, direct, and coordinate planning and implementation of all contract support activities, interface with government personnel, secure ongoing program opportunities, and utilize company resources to achieve project technical objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Establishes and coordinates the production schedules for technical and operational performance of specific company manufacturing programs
2. Serves as lead for internal Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and facilitate coordination of internal and external resources to ensure program success
3. Adequately and clearly communicates programmatic priorities and actions to ensure all internal and external customers stay well informed
4. Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, develop solutions to program problems and directs work of support personnel assigned to the program from various departments.
5. Ensures projects are completed on time, within budget and exceed all quality and performance requirements. Maintain programmatic Estimates at Complete (EAC) and Estimates to Complete (ETC)
6. Maintains action lists for assigned programs and ensures timely completion. This includes any corrective actions, opportunities for improvement, continuous improvement, or customer assigned requirements
7. Maintain adherence to Company policies and procedures, safety and environmental standards, and good housekeeping practices
8. Assists in negotiation of contracts and contractual changes and coordinates preparation of proposals, plans, specifications and financial conditions (estimates at completion) of contracts.
9. Act as company point of contact with customer and participate in Integrated Product Team(s) (IPT), comprised of customer and company representatives.
10. Maintain good employee relations, and adherence to Affirmative Action Plan, Labor Laws, and EEO rules and regulations
11.Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
1. Bachelor’s degree required; in Engineering or Business preferred
2. 2+ years Production Supervision or Project Management experience preferred
3. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
4. Good briefing skills
5. Results oriented / Self Starter
6. Ability to establish credibility and be decisive
7. Good organization and record keeping skills
8. Strong reasoning abilities
9. Knowledge of pyrotechnic/ordnance manufacturing preferred
10. Familiarity with program/contract management standard concepts, practices, and procedures
11. Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) and Project Management Software (Microsoft Project or Comparable)
12. Well-developed interpersonal skills
13. Appreciation of confidentiality of information
14. Attentive to accuracy and detail
15.Preferably one or more years’ experience in program or contract management
16.Familiar with standard DoD concepts, practices, and procedures
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
1. Must submit to and pass a drug test pursuant to Company Drug-free Workforce Policy which includes random testing
2. Must have good vision (may be corrected)
3. Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
4. Must have stamina to work more than the scheduled workday when needed, including nights and weekends
5. Must be able to pick up, handle, and work with paper
6. Must be able to travel
7. Must have or be able to obtain valid Passport for international travel
8. Must have valid driver’s license
