Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector, Weapons Systems Division, Advanced Weapons Business Unit is seeking a Program Manager to lead various tactical missile development programs and capture new business. The position is physically located in Northridge, California and remote work is not available for this position.
The leader in this exciting and challenging role will be responsible for the complete missile development lifecycle which includes:
- Lead a continuous improvement culture focused on employee engagement to drive business performance
- Responsibility for program P&L, schedule, and technical performance on internal investments focused on future missile development programs
- Lead the preparation of competitive proposals to capture new business in the US missile market
- Develop growth strategies to increase program orders and develop new business opportunities
- Develop product and technology road maps
- Focus on developing strong customer relationships
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong background and training in DoD program capture
- Experience with DoD Research and Development contracts
- Experience developing proposals for DoD customers
- The candidate should have a history of versatile and dynamic leadership and possess the ability to forge strong customer and teammate relationships and to build, maintain, and motivate a high performance execution team
- Ability to travel approximately 15% to forge customer relationships and grow the business
- Candidate should be a strong collaborator with the ability to work across multiple areas within Northrop Grumman and be comfortable navigating a matrixed environment
- Active Secret Clearance with in-scope periodic investigation within last 5 years, and eligibility to receive additional clearances
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree
- Experience on missile development programs
- Experience with agile processes and tools
- Experience with Digital Engineering / Model Based Systems Engineering
- Experience on EVMS programs
