Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for a Supply Chain Programs Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Lake Charles, LA.
Responsibilities:

  • Establish Material Operations & Procurement Strategies to be implemented by the OU Global Supply Chain Team
  • Identify strategic procurement strategies with subcontractors to include long term pricing agreements, favorable contract negotiations, capacity evaluations, etc.
  • Drive overall material health, material schedule, and accurately forecast costs by using statistical planning models to forecast the material demand for the OU.
  • Work collaboratively with other functional areas to meet OU commitments.
  • Drive continuous improvement, and affordability initiatives within the OU.
  • Identify critical material shortages and resolve material related issues due to supply-based problems, inventory errors, or demand changes.
  • Manage and communicate material risks and opportunities.
  • Ultimately responsible for inventory control and ensuring stock levels are maintained at an appropriate level by coordinating the efficient movement of materials.
  • Engage in the generation of proposals including identify material requirements, drafting supplier statements of work, pricing quotes, and estimate rational.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent (GED) with at least 11 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree or equivalent and a minimum of 7 years related experience
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams or projects with a minimum of 2 years of managing people
  • General knowledge of FAR/DFARS and associated Federal Contracting regulations
  • Understanding of procurement policies, procedures, and regulations is essential.
  • Demonstrated success in continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and identify trends
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7 years of material, Supply Chain, or programs management experience
  • In depth knowledge of material management in a depot or production environment, to include logistics, inventory, and transportation management
  • Experience in communication, both written and verbal, with customers and senior management
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in delineated leadership positions
  • Advanced Degree and/or Supply Chain industry certification is desirable (from ISM, APICS, etc.)
  • Experience with international subcontracting and SAP Procurement & Accounting System is highly desirable
  • International procurement & subcontract experience
  • Understanding of Obsolescence and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS)
  • Experience with all aspects of proposal generation

Salary Range: $119,300.00 - $178,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
