Program Director, Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy

Program Director Assignment & Responsibilities: Program Director, Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy
Program Directors support the senior Medical Director and ultimately the Chief Medical Operating Officer in assuring that medical services meet quality standards. Program Directors are responsible for one or more specific Programs such as: Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy, Behavioral Health or Prenatal Care.
The Program Director, Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy will establish and oversee the implementation and optimization of the Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy program, including the components of clinician training related to Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy services oversight and onboarding.
- Function as a Clinician II or higher, providing direct clinical services in sexual and reproductive health, meeting quality, customer service, and productivity expectations.
- Provide clinical leadership and foster a culture of quality care, patient safety and excellent patient experience.
- Assess provider skills to grant clinic privileges
- Responsible for ongoing support and evaluation of clinicians to ensure safe and patient centered services
- Collaborate with Senior Services Management Team to update and maintain affiliate Medical Standards and Guidelines
- Provide clinical consultation to affiliate clinical staff as needed
- Project management and administrative support for Gender Affirming Care Program approximately 0.2 FTE, depending on the needs of the affiliate
- Collaborate with Services Management team members to develop and maintain policies, procedures, and workflows for the Gender Affirming care program
- Collaborate with Clinician and HSS trainer teams to develop and expand staff training for the Gender Affirming Care program.
- Collaborate with the Senior Director of Quality and Nursing and Senior Manager of Health Center Compliance to ensure program compliance with PPFA standards and state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with care coordination teams to develop and maintain Gender Affirming referral networks and systems for efficient navigation prior authorizations and insurance approval challenges.
- Assist with specific projects as assigned by supervisor
- Provide oversight and optimization of the Gender Affirming Care Program
- Define and monitor metrics to ensure data driven quality improvement
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending medical workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.
- Demonstrate PPMM customer service standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Graduation from an accredited FNP, PA, Women’s Health NP, or CNM program
- Current State license
- Current DEA license
- Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification
- Successful completion and demonstration of competency for all Clinician I Basic Skill Set
- Successful completion and demonstration of competency for all Clinician II Intermediate Skill Set
- Minimum of two years clinical experience working in an LGBTQ+ organization or community
- Minimum of one year experience working in health care operations or program management.
- Willingness and ability to learn new skills appropriate to PPMM clinical duties
- Strong customer service orientation
- Current experience using computer and mouse
- Experience using a Microsoft Windows based program and willing to learn new computer skills
- Able to work cooperatively as a member of a health care delivery team
- Clinician II or equivalent for a minimum of 6 months
- Must maintain a minimum of .8 FTE
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the Affiliate
