CPR certification is a plus.
The position requires a bachelors degree with at least five years of management experience, and experience working in residential settings for adults who require structured and supervised settings.
The Program Director will be responsible for the management of the day to day operations of the permanent Housing and overseeing the policies and procedures of the Temporary Shelter operations.
The Director's current duties include the management and organization of support services for the program, handling the intake and eligibility review process (interviewing and processing prospective applicants for certain sites), responsibility for the overall project operations, the provision of consultation and supervision to project staff, overseeing the property management company.
The Program Director must understand the specific rules and regulations regarding the programmatic requirements by the New York Office of Mental Hygiene, Department of Housing and Urban Development, and/or other applicable governmental agencies (i.e. Erie County Department of Social Services and Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance) to which the project(s) / programs are accountable.
