Position Overview
The Program Coordinator will work collaboratively with a small entrepreneurial team to support the coordination and administrative functions of HFTFS’ various national and Los Angeles County strategies, programs, and grants. This role will be pivotal in assisting the Executive Director and Senior Director for LA County Programs with day-to-day program and operational needs required to support the mission of advancing excellent skilled trades education across U.S. public high schools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Anchors the administrative functions of Harbor Freight Tools for Schools ensuring strong cross-team coordination, communication, and compliance with established guidelines and timelines.
- Prepares and submits expense reports and other financial documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Organizes and coordinates meetings and events, including scheduling, budget management, preparing agendas, taking summary notes, and ensuring follow-up actions are executed.
- Assists in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other materials for internal and external distribution.
- Organizes and maintains database ensuring contacts are updated and have clear categories for efficient outreach.
- Organizes and maintains digital files for team operations, programs, and grants.
- Responds to incoming requests for information about national and LA County work arising from phone calls, emails, and social media inquiries.
- Assists with team’s calendar and travel arrangements.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- At least three years of proven experience in program coordination, project management, and/or administrative roles.

- Proficient using standard Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Proficient using data base and expenses management systems, e.g. MailChimp, Concur
