Encouraging Kids Family Resource Center is a 501c3 Nonprofit Organization with administrative offices in Woodbury/Deptford, NJ. We are contracted by the NJ Dept. of Children & Families to provide respite/recreation services for Children with disabilities ages 3-21 years.

We are currently looking for Program Assistants for our expanding weekday afterschool programs.

Program Assistant is responsible for:

• Supervising children with disabilities enrolled in afterschool program from 1:00-5:30pm Monday-Friday during school year and/or summer extended school year program.
• Occasional expanded hours for early dismissal days and/or school holidays as needed
• Actively engaging children in play and activities in a safe, supportive manner
• Communication with Site Supervisor, Chief of Operations, Program Director & Executive Director
• Maintaining up to date documentation for each child (attendance, incident reports, likes/dislikes, etc.)
• 12 month part-time position for those available and interested

Requirements include:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Be reliable, responsible, & flexible with work schedule.
• Have a dependable method of transportation. This includes working car & valid driver's license.
• Have a recent TB Test and be able to provide results - or willing to get TB test.
• Be willing to undergo fingerprinting and a thorough background check (paid by agency)
• Have (or willing to get) a current and valid CPR and First Aid certification (provided &paid by agency).
• Have at least 2 years of verifiable experience working with the Special Needs Population.

About Position:

• Hourly rate of $22.00 for qualified candidates.
• 12 month per year position for those interested and available
