Essential Job Duties:“OnePack Empowered” is an innovative University initiative dedicated to supporting and empowering students facing executive functioning challenges. Our program is designed to provide personalized assistance through 1:1 mentoring and tailored support plans, fostering academic and personal success, facilitating degree attainment, and easing the transition beyond college. As we strive to fulfill this mission, we are seeking a dynamic Program Assistant to join our team and contribute to the program’s implementation.

Work Schedule:Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., onsite
Other Work/Responsibilities:- Provide developmental, academic, and career advising, along with executive function coaching and regular academic support to program participants to facilitate their transitions through postsecondary education.
- Support students in identifying strengths and challenges, advocating for themselves, setting short-term and long-term goals, and formulating effective study skills and strategies.
- Offer weekly planning and organization support to a caseload of 5 students, ensuring they stay on track with their academic and personal objectives.
- Plan, develop, and facilitate individual and group meetings with program participants to address their specific needs and goals.
- Assist the Program Manager in the application and selection process, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
- Aid in maintaining the program’s website and other communication channels to keep participants informed and engaged.
- Develop and implement tailored career development strategies for addressing the unique challenges associated with executive functioning.
- Offer Career Development programming and workshops covering essential topics such as job search strategies, interview techniques, and workplace etiquette.
- Deliver on-site coaching to program participants engaged in internships and/or Co-op experiences, guiding them through various workplace challenges to enhance their effectiveness and professional growth.
- Assist in organizing program student interest meetings and application sessions.
- Review candidate applications to determine eligibility for participation in OnePack Empowered.
- Represent OnePack Empowered at various on-campus events, such as Career Champions, to promote awareness and engagement with the program.
A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.

- The Program Assistant must have an understanding the unique needs and perspectives of individuals with executive functioning challenges.
- The Program Assistant must have a solid understanding of career development principles, including job search strategies, interview preparation, and workplace professionalism.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education:
A graduate degree in Counseling or Higher Education is preferred.
