Basic Function:The Program Assistant is responsible for assisting the Alumni Engagement Programming and Family Engagement and Denison Professional Network teams in the Alumni & Family Engagement Office to successfully execute the strategic plan priorities focused on alumni engagement. These strategic priorities include, but are not limited to, regional and lifelong programming, early engagement (students and young alumni), affinity networks, volunteer engagement and the professional network. The position is a member of the Alumni and Family Engagement Office and the Institutional Advancement Division.
This position will assist in managing all aspects of the Alumni Engagement Programming and Denison Professional Network initiatives including event and program logistics, supply inventory oversight, office and staff expenses, budget, purchasing, data and report compilation and other projects as needed.
- Event/Program Logistical support including but not limited to venue research, contract processing, creating, and managing registration sites, creating nametags, ordering supplies, and ensuring coding of events and attendees in the alumni database.
- Reporting/Budgetary/Statistical support – maintain and compile relevant data and reports using Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT database. Prepare reports, communication lists, and statistical information for staff and volunteers as requested.
- Customer Service Responsibilities – assist with correspondence to internal and external constituents and responding to inquiries regarding alumni engagement programs and initiatives.
- Partner and collaborate effectively with department, division, and University colleagues to deliver high-quality engagement programing for alumni
- Represent Alumni & Family Engagement and Institutional Advancement at events and key programs as necessary (including but not limited to Homecoming, Family Weekend, Reunion Weekend, Commencement)
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required: High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:Preferred: Bachelor’s degree
Relevant experience can be substituted for education.
Position requires walking, climbing stairs and ability to move up to 20 lbs using appropriate equipment or assistance as needed.
