Position:Program Assistant
Reports to: Program Director
Job type: Non-Exempt
Hours: Monday-Friday: 8-4:30 (will be adjusted during seasonal programming). Saturdays and weekday evenings are required during seasonal programming, such as Challenge Basketball and Volleyball. This person will be scheduled 40 hours a week. Hours may be flexible.
Position summary: The Full-Time Program Assistant works with TLCC guests and instructors. They are responsible for support of the Program Director, help with front desk and Youth Center coverage.
Responsibilities:
- Help with all front desk, café, and office responsibilities.
- Greet visitors/guests and ensure they are directed to the proper place/person.
- Answer the phone, transfer calls, and take messages as necessary.
- Respond to inquiries, guest registration, and collecting class fees.
- Help coordinate program details as assigned by Program Director.
- Assist with programs by daily set up, assisting parents and coaches and answering program questions.
- Assure up-to-date information is posted.
- Filing, typing, etc. as needed.
- Filling in the youth center as needed.
Skills:
- Must be able to work well with all staff and guests.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality without exception.
- Must be bondable.
- Must be willing to help and assist other staff.
- Must be a self-starter.
- Must be able to work independently and meet established deadlines.
- Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
- Must have solid computer skills.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of high school diploma is required.
- Familiarity with standard office equipment.
- Willingness to learn process, procedures and office software and equipment.
- Non-profit experience is beneficial.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
