Professional Boat Captain

We have a full time and/or part time position(s) available for a licensed, Professional Boat Captain for Sea Tow Jacksonville, a marine towing assistance company. We help pleasure boaters when they break down or are in need of some sort of marine assistance.

Must have:

OUPV Captains License (or greater) near coastal with towing endorsement

Extensive small boat handing experience

Computer literate for dispatching and taking customer's information over the phone

Professional and personable demeanor

Navigational experience

Flexible schedule

General boat maintenance, cleaning and upkeep of boats

Want to work on the water in beautiful Florida

$18-$20 per hour to start based on experience with a 30-day probationary and training period. After successful training period, pay increases will be made available based on performance. Training pay is $14 per hour if you are riding along with an experienced captain. After training, you will also receive commissions on types of jobs done. Please do not apply if you have tugboat or deckhand experience only. The ideal candidate is a small boat handler as our boats are 22 to 26 feet in length and require someone with experienced skills for towing and docking.
