Tour Boat Captain

```Job Overview:
We are seeking the most fun and skilled Boat Captain to join our team. As a Captain, you will be responsible for staging, guiding, and operating our boats. If you have mechanical knowledge, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for the water, we would love to hear from you. The position will be for our vessel Paddle Pub, which is a 26-passenger US Coast Guard inspected vessel, and occasionally our 45-passenger boat. As our Florida fleet and company grow, we are looking for team players that would like to grow with us. We are Captains as well and seek to create a career rather than simply a "gig" for licensed Captains. Our team is awesome and we all enjoy showing people the most fun in Fort Lauderdale. We need someone that is hospitable, energetic, and can work with teammates.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Wash down and prepare boats for each trip, ensuring all necessary equipment is in place
- Pump out and Fuel as needed
- Safely operate the boat, following all maritime regulations and guidelines
- Manage the crew members on board, providing clear instructions and guidance
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on the boat to ensure it is in proper working order
- Monitor weather conditions and make decisions regarding trip cancellations or route changes if necessary. Team commuication is huge with us.
- Ensure the safety of all passengers and crew members on board at all times

Qualifications:
- US Coast Guard 25 ton license or great
- Experience as a Boat Captain or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge to handle any potential issues that may arise during trips
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations
- Knowledge of maritime regulations and safety procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $23.50 - $25.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• On call
• Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

Experience:

• Handling boats over 30ft: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• US Coast Guard license, 25 ton or greater (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312: Relocate before starting work (Required)
