POSITION DESCRIPTION
Arper is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor with expertise in sewing, upholstery, fabrication, and assembly work. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading and overseeing the manufacturing process, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and are delivered on time in addition to supervising the performance of our Production team based in High Point, North Carolina. The role will consist of collaborating with the Production Planning Supervisor, Customer Service Supervisor and Quality Manager to ensure the continued flow of production.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead and manage a team of production workers, including sewers, upholsterers, fabricators, and assemblers.
· Work with Production Planning to plan and schedule activities to meet production goals and deadlines.
· Ensure that all products are manufactured efficiently, meeting quality and safety standards.
· Provide guidance and training to production staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and tools to excel in their roles.
· Monitor and optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize production costs.
· Collaborate with other departments such as customer care and quality control to resolve issues and improve product quality.
· Maintain and assist in repair of sewing machines, glue operations and assembly tools.
· Enforce safety protocols, quality control procedures, and compliance with all company policies.
· Manage inventory, including tracking and ordering materials as needed.
· Conduct regular performance evaluations, 1:1s, and coaching for production team.
· Handle disciplinary actions, as necessary, in consultation with Human Resources.
· Foster a culture of teamwork, excellence, and continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
· A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Production Supervisory role, preferably in the furniture or upholstery industry.
· A high school diploma is required. A relevant degree or vocational training in production management, upholstery, or a related field is a plus.
· Proficiency in sewing, upholstery, fabrication, and assembly techniques.
· Strong leadership and communication skills.
· Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop a high-performing production team.
· Knowledge of safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
· Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
· Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
· Strong organizational and time management abilities.
· Willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic production environment.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
