SUMMARY The Production Supervisor will handle the supervision of Sempera Organics manufacturing operations. This role will be responsible for delivering the production output per schedule. The ideal candidate will train and grow the production team and prepare them for future growth. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Hit the production goals as laid out by business • Train and guide production staff to create quality products • Constantly look for ways to improve productivity and output • Maintain high level of work ethic and be a humble leader • Understand and learn how equipment work and maximize their potential • Perform scheduled maintenance Each employee at Sempera Organics is responsible for ensuring and maintaining the safety and quality of our product and is expected to: • Promote food safety and quality awareness throughout the organization. • Adhere to and ensure company-wide compliance with policies and procedures relating to product/food safety and quality. • Express concerns and offer solutions regarding product/food safety and quality issues. • Report all major or minor product/food safety/quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action. ** In the occasion(s) when key personnel responsible for designated role(s) is absent, an appropriately trained backup has been assigned to cover their duties to ensure the integrity of the SQF System. Hickerson Qualifications To be successful, you will need ● High school diploma or equivalent qualification ● Atleast 2 years of work experience in a supervisory role ● Good technical skills and understanding of food processing equipment ● Good at arithmetic and using excel ● Demonstrated experience in hitting production goals ● Ability to do time and motion studies to improve production output ● Ability to work well with production operators and getting their buy in to get the work done ● Effective problem-solving abilities ● Demonstrate a growth and learning mind set ● Ability to communicate down, sideways and up in the organization ● Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks ● Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
