Main Tasks & Responsibilities
· Oversee production activity throughout the plant during the assigned shift
· Supervise the production teams during the assigned shift and follow up on the daily production activities in BEAR room, dough room, bakery, crumble room, and packaging area
· Ensure that daily KPIs of safety, quality, scrap, and production are met/exceeded
· Organize a smooth start-up and changeover to a new shift
· Adjust schedule and work assignments at start of shift to account for unforeseen absences and tardies
· Coordinate rotation of team members during the shift
· Create training plans for new operators and monitor the quality of training delivered
· Monitor the proper operation of the machines and intervene where necessary
· Decide on necessity to escalate in case of technical issues or quality non-conformities
· Check if inspection tasks and registration are performed according to instruction
· Signal and register technical malfunctions and abnormalities of equipment and raw/packaging material; escalate to maintenance as needed
· Report on daily shift performance and own improvement initiatives
· Guide team leads and line operators in performing small technical interventions upon malfunction
· TOP communication with individual operators of all areas and with technicians about issues to be solved
· Excellent communication with shift supervisor of previous and subsequent shift
· Lead labor-scheduling activities for your shift
· Complete reports of employee behavioral deficiencies or customer complaints
· Coach operators and support their professional development
· Approve/decline PTO requests from shift personnel
Requirements
· Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent work experience
· Food processing and/or bakery knowledge is a plus
· Familiarity with equipment operation and mechanical components
· Must be able to perform duties following all regulatory GMP/FSMA food hygiene practices
· Possess basic math skills
· Possess intermediate computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
· Prior experience with leading and motivating a team in a production facility, ideally in an FDA-regulated environment
· Experience operating packaging equipment is preferred but not required
· Experience with inspections and/or quality control is helpful
· Good communication skills, both written and oral
· Experience with SAP a plus

Pay: $80,000.00 - $88,000.00 per year
