Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift- Starting Salary $47,840. to $54,912 - Plus Full Benefits & Possible Overtime
Job Summary:
FPM Heat Treating, the industry leader in commercial heat treating, seeks an experienced Supervisor / Foreman for their Cherry Valley operations. Flexible hours on day shift position and 7 pm. to 7 am. on 3rd Shift position
Qualified candidates will have the following:
- 1-3+ years of proven leadership and supervisory or management experience
- 1-5+ years of heat treating or other technical process experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A High School diploma or equivalent is required; some college, preferably in a technical discipline, is preferred.
- The ideal candidate will be as comfortable on the production floor as they are in the lab or office.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assures departments operate in full compliance with OSHA and EPA requirements. Determines work procedures, schedules employees, prepares and verifies production schedules are met, expedites workflow, and over sees reprocessing work on hold. Provides written, oral instructions, and trains department employees. Assigns duties and examines work for uniformity, neatness, and conformance to procedure and policy and logs non-conformance in non-conformance book. Reviews and standardizes procedures to improve departmental efficiency. Maintains teamwork environment and expedites problem solving. Prepares composite reports from employees and subordinates. Performs or assists subordinates in performing duties as needed and provides technical support to Operators and other departmental and non-departmental employees. Insures employees perform all duties in a safe manner, proper protective equipment is used, and that a safe and clean working environment is maintained. Troubleshoots all equipment and maintenance issues and promptly rectifies or notifies the Maintenance department. Maintains inventory control levels of departmental operational supplies. Available to respond to and address customer issues/concerns and operational needs when called upon by subordinates or employees. Must be able to fill in where needed and work off shifts, weekends, and holidays when required. Tracks employee disciplinary and attendance issues and relates to annual reviews. Prepares, administers, and enforces corrective actions(s) fairly and uniformly in a timely manner. Must be able to pass and administer annual in-house task test(s) to departmental employees and maintain proper training documentation per ISO requirements. Performs other duties as may be assigned. Is a licensed and Certified Forklift Driver.
