As a Production Supervisor, you will be heading a team in Motion, NEMA Motors in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Ensuring continuous and efficient production operations in line with plans, procedures, and quality and safety standards and policies.
In this role, you will aid in the transformation of parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely and cost effective manner, managing resources to meet production targets.

Your responsibilities
- Fostering a culture where safety is first priority and procedures and policies are followed.
- Must be representative of management that portrays a professional attitude and supports ABB goals and objectives.
- Provide leadership, direction, training and administration of anyone assigned to their department.
- Will be responsible for the quality, production, safety, housekeeping and problem solving on a daily basis for your assigned areas. Will also be responsible for improving quality, safety, productivity and overall performance.
- Operate in compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) and MSDS (Material safety data sheet) standards.
- Must have high expectations for all employees and be consistent in all employee relation matters while not accepting poor performance in any area.
- Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling and discipline direct reports.
- Enforce general handbook policies fairly and consistently.
Your background
- High School Diploma or GED with minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience OR Associates Degree with minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience OR Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 0-2 years of manufacturing experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and Excel) SAP & Kronos is good to have.
- Understanding manufacturing concepts, processes and Flex Flow and Lean concepts
- Must be self motivated, detail oriented, with a strong desire to learn new things.
- Must be willing to attend leadership and continuing education classes. Effective time management and the ability to prioritize
- Must be willing to attend leadership and continuing education classes.
- Up to 15% travel may be required for training
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
