This work requires staff qualified to perform foundational Vertical Obstruction Analysis and Vector Collection. Staff must have previous experience in vector collection, mission familiarity, demonstrated ability to lead a team, demonstrated ability to operate in a high-tempo environment, be adaptable and teal-oriented, be committed to delivering timely an accurate GEOINT, and exhibit professionalism.
Duties:
Contractors are required to support NGA's Vertical Obstructions (VO) program by extracting specific feature data in accordance with NGA data and product specifications. Activities involve data acquisition, data evaluation, data analysis, data entry, data application, quality control/assurance and product finishing. Senior Production specialists are expected to possess advanced knowledge on airfield vector collection and to address QA/QC trend analysis findings, recurring training, and production issues.
Requirements
- TS/SCI
- Basic knowledge and understanding of airfield infrastructures such as taxiways, runways, navigational aids, ATC tower, and hangars, etc.
- Experience with advanced feature collection (points, lines, and areas), attribution, feature validation and product finishing.
- Detailed understanding of geospatial principles including coordinate systems, elevation models, and accuracy values. Additionally, senior analysis shall understand how geospatial principles can impact image-based feature collection.
- Strong knowledge of geospatial data types (shapefiles, geodatabases, GML, etc) and DoD applications (GRiD, MoW, ISpy, etc.)
- Demonstrated knowledge of imagery, products, processed and sensors.
- Previous working experience with commercial software solutions 9ex: ESRI ArcDesktop/Pro, BAE SocetGXP, QGIS, etc.)
Desired:
- Experience with python programming and the demonstrated ability to write, troubleshoot, and debug scripts at an ad-hoc level.
- Knowledge of and experience with PostgreSQL/PostGIS and the ability to write SQL queries for a variety of tasks such as, but not limited to, data analysis, data validation, QA/QC, etc.
- Knowledge of and experience with understanding, reading, and writing XML.
- Demonstrated ability to harness all geospatial tools and techniques with available data to provide relevant and insightful intelligence, specifically as it relates to data creation.
- Previous work within the federal government and/or IC.
