Production Scheduler.

The Associate Production Scheduler will be responsible supporting the senior Production Scheduler in managing the companies? daily manufacturing schedules. The role requires superior organization and planning skills, since production schedulers examine customer orders, available staff and inventory, and machinery capabilities to effectively set and manage production schedules, often for multiple lines. The associate production scheduler will also be responsible for monitoring manufacturing performance and actively adjusting schedules in response to equipment failures or supply shortages at the direction of the senior Production Scheduler. They will also identify opportunities to make processes more efficient and cut down on production cost through more effective scheduling.

Pay Range: $24-$31.25/HR, DOE
This is a Temp Assignment with the potential to roll into a FT Direct position.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze customer orders and request, delivery dates, plant personnel and equipment capabilities, and inventory availability, to create an actionable and efficient production schedule.
• Prioritizing workflow to ensure customer deadlines are met.
• Assist in adjusting production schedule based on changing conditions within the manufacturing pipeline such as equipment breakdowns, or delayed material deliveries.
• Prepare reports outlining production activities and effectiveness, comparing expected output to actual output, and identifying areas for improvement.
• Support day-to-day needs of the senior Production Scheduler.
• Serves as a supporting point of contact for and liaison with sales, manufacturing, and logistics alongside the senior Production Scheduler.
• Collaborates with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve customer needs
• Schedule demand based on the product mix and provided accurate lead times to sales department alongside the senior Production Scheduler.
• Assemble master schedule reporting regarding performance to the business plan, the shipment plan, the inventory plan, and the production plan
• Manage load leveling and bottlenecks for more accurate scheduling
• Establish, measure, monitor and adjust capacity levels to execute all manufacturing schedules
• Determine available capacity before planned orders are released
• Collaborate with purchasing to compare current and anticipated orders with available inventory of raw materials
• Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of equipment and staff as needed to meet delivery dates
• Sets up and maintains work center and work groups in ERP system

Skills:

• Window industry experience is preferred
• Bachelor degree in a related field, preferred
• APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of scheduling software preferred or experience with similar software platforms.
• ERP system experience
• 1-2 years of related experience required
• Experience using production planning systems
• Able to sit prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
• Able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Proven communication skills, both written and verbal required.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Able to work independently and as a team, exercise sound judgement
• Able to perform work thoroughly and accurately
• Flexibility. Anticipate and adapt to change without losing focus on goals
• Good mathematical skills including ability to understand key production and scheduling formulas
