Position Overview:
This is a hands-on position and is responsible for supporting all aspects of inventory control and scheduling to ensure the expectations of the customer are met in a cost-effective manner.
This individual will be responsible for contributing to a consistent, safe, and productive work environment through participation in corporate programs, and adhering to operational and personnel policies and procedures.
What your day will look like:
- Create and maintain detailed production schedules for both our flour and corn facilities to meet customer demands.
- Collaborate with sales, supply chain, and production teams to gather information on customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity.
- Create and maintain job orders in our ERP system.
- Reconcile if inaccurate, outbound quantities with production, warehouse, and cold storage facility.
- Develop and maintain safety stock levels.
- Provide weekly reports to customers.
- Analyze production data, including demand forecasts, inventory levels, and production efficiency, to optimize scheduling and minimize waste.
- Use forecasts to aid in production scheduling.
- Communicate with purchaser on schedule changes.
- Maintain accurate finished goods inventory.
General Responsibilities
- Back up purchasing duties as requested.
- Work with production if raw materials or staffing becomes an issue that could potentially hinder the scheduled production.
- Work with purchasing to maintain timely deliveries.
- Participate in daily operations meetings.
- Actively participate in Food Safety and Food Defense related activities.
- Perform additional duties as directed.
Education & Experience
- 2 or 4-year degree in related field
- 1-3 years' experience in materials and inventory management and/or purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems, PLEX is a plus.
- APICS certification a plus
- Experience in the food industry preferred.

Physical Job Requirements
- Ability to lift to 30lbs on an occasional basis.
