Job Summary: As the Production Scheduler, you will hold a crucial position responsible for Production planning for the three UNC culture facilities. Your primary role entails overseeing and enhancing multiple facets of our food manufacturing scheduling processes to uphold standards of quality, efficiency, and safety while actively promoting ongoing improvements.
Key responsibilities encompass exceptional time management, organizational and problem-solving skills to maximize productivity.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, demand forecasts, and available resources.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, maintenance, and procurement teams to analyze data and formulate an efficient production plan.
  • Monitor production order progress, promptly addressing issues to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth workflow and efficient communication.
  • Implement and manage production scheduling systems, such as ERP software, for automation and streamlining.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of raw materials and inputs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
  • To provide Business Continuity assurance
  • To centralize the current support work required to support the Scheduling Manager and the scheduling process.

  • Make all necessary schedule adjustments from FG through intermediate jobs to keep Plant operating.
  • Act as Liaison between Departments that support the manufacturing process and coordination of Activities; specifically, to support Scheduling Manager for S&OP

Required Skillset:
  • Process Understanding; understanding constraints and capabilities of a manufacturing facility

  • Need to have comfort with ambiguity along with operational curiosity.
  • Strong communication skills with all levels in the business
  • Need to have a high level of comfort in a fast-paced environment.

Experience & Education Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in production scheduling within a manufacturing environment (3-5 years).
  • Proficiency in production planning software and relevant tools.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling principles.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for informed decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (a plus).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, based on production demands.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to quality standards.

The Production Scheduler Position is entrusted with confidential information relative to production methods and customer, requiring confidentiality.
Management Responsibility
This position does not have management responsibilities.
Work Environment
The Production Scheduler Position works both in an office and in a manufacturing environment. Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and appropriate PPE when in the manufacturing plant.
Pay: $58,600 - $76,200 a year*
*The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position. Actual salary will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, budget available, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position's qualifications, in addition to internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components of the total rewards package may include participation in group health and/or dental insurance, retirement plan, wellness program, paid time away from work, and paid holidays.
