Aegis Worldwide has partnered with a fast paced and growing manufacturing facility in Stokesdale, NC who is seeking a Production Planner to join their team on 1st Shift.
In this role, you will be in charge of all production planning, purchasing raw materials, tracking inventory, and more. The ideal candidate must have a bachelors degree as well as experience in a purchasing/planning role in a manufacturing setting!
JOB SUMMARY:
- Develop annual and monthly demand plans and forecasts.
- Advise planning, supply chain, sales and product management of demand sales opportunity and risk.
- Responsible for ensuring accurate, timely forecasts are delivered to the business on relevant brands for core lines.
- Responsible for facilitating monthly forecast meetings to communicate forecasts and resolution of issues.
- Responsible to challenge the team on their proposed volumes using fact-based information.
- Working collaboratively and cross-functionally to understand and deliver the brand / customer requirements.
- Generate simulations on different production scenarios and communicate their inventory impact.
- Accountable for understanding all drivers of inaccuracy in forecasting metrics, specifically forecast accuracy driving continuous improvement.
- Responsible for supporting sku-level demand planning forecasting.
- Consistently delivers forecast accuracy results that drive inventory levels, service levels that meet or exceed targeted thresholds for regular business, new product launches, and promotions.
Qualification's
- Bachelors in Supply Chain or equivalent level of relevant professional experience preferred.
- At least 3 years experiences in buying/procurement/materials
- Experience in managing end of life cycle and absolute inventory
- Highly analytical with an aptitude for interpreting and utilizing data to improve the quality of the forecast and propose a point of view
- Fundamental knowledge of all aspects of Supply Chain – Inventory, procurement, lead times, production
