We are seeking a motivated Production Operator for 1st shift, willing to work in a safe and efficient manner with a team player attitude, following directions to help achieve our production goals. Ensure the equipment is performing at startup and shutdown accordingly to procedures, continual production run on lines with minimal downtime, report production utilizing department forms and maintain a clean safe work area. Reporting to the Staples Supervisor and following the direction of the Assistant Supervisor and Lead Production Operator in efforts of meeting company production goals.
Job Requirements:
- A High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Mechanical skills (Use of hand tools.)
- Ability to read & understand basic work instructions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe working environment is always maintained.
- Follow directions from the lead operator on production line troubleshoot and running scheduled products.
- Load and set up band-wire spools in the automated
- Ability to receive training and run N-Line, Old Line and Insulator equipment according to daily schedule.
- Perform operational checks and inspections during production to ensure the product is up to standards.
- Perform adjustments to the equipment to keep the lines moving (ex: basic function of the machine, clear jammed staples, reset sensors, troubleshoot different parts of equipment etc.)
- Assist the Lead Operator and Tool Room Mechanic in troubleshooting of equipment on press performance.
- Work with other Production Operators during shifts changing on component set up and clean work areas.
- Reports accurate production numbers from shift run.
- Advises any situation that interrupts or prevents production from achieving maximum efficiency.
- Provide additional support to teammates as needed on lines to meet production requirements.
- Must be available to work overtime as needed during weekday shifts and Saturdays.
