Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Manager will be responsible for production output in a high-volume department. The Production Manager will manage salaried plant personnel and provides direction in operations area to produce the best quality product possible, at the least cost standards while maintaining a safe work environment.
You Will:
- Oversee production line management to ensure product is produced according to Company specifications and meet production, usage, and labor goals.
- Promote a culture of engagement and responsibility with human and food safety with hourly employees through compliance of OSHA regulation and compliance policies.
- Promote continuous improvement in production process to improve safety, cost effectiveness, and product quality.
- Coordinate production requirements with maintenance and engineering to ensure plant goals are obtained.
- Share metrics with front-line supervisors to promote continuous improvement.
- Responsible for operation performance on 1st and 2nd shift production.
- Allocates labor to exceed Company standards.
- Oversee the cleanliness of the plant production areas.
- Assure work force is trained in job requirements.
- Ensure flow of important information to all levels and shifts of plant management.
- Monitor correct ingredient usage at plant standards while maintaining quality goals.
- Report ingredient usage and labor figures for proper costing and recall requirements.
- Interfaces and collaborate with department of Human Resources, Finance, Lean Supply, etc.
You Have:
- B. S. degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Biology, Industrial Management, or related field from a four-year college or university
- Four to six years related training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the food industry.#Onsite
