The PM manages an annual production budget of approximately $95K, and oversees shop budgets for the Scenic, Props, Costume, Lighting and Sound shops. They are the direct supervisor for the Production Stage Manager (PSM), and share supervision for the Costume Shop Coordinator (with the Senior Lecturer in Costume Design) and the Media Assistant (with the Professor of Film). In conjunction with the TD, they hire, supervise and schedule student employees as House, Stage and Building Managers.
The PM oversees and manages house management, ticket distribution/sales and the box office, with support from the PSM and student employees.
This is a 10-month position (August - May), paid over 12 months.

Extensive experience in performance management, technical theatre, and/or film production. Extremely well organized, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, establish and meet deadlines. Ability to use skillset in transformative ways across different media. Ability to deal with often conflicting interest and demands of faculty, staff, and students. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills. Excellent creative problem-solving skills and ability to pivot when unexpected changes occur. Proficient with computer systems necessary for project management.
Preferred Qualifications - MFA or comparable experience in Theatre Production Management, Film Production with a concentration in Producing, or related field of theatre or film. Significant experience and interest in the arts, performance, film, or media. A strong desire to work in an academic setting.
This is a regular, full-time recurring ten-month appointment (August through May), paid over 12 months, with a pro-rated salary.
Applications will be accepted through Monday, May 8th. Your complete application will include BOTH a cover letter and resume. We have found it most efficient to save as one document prior to attaching.
