Work Location: This position will report daily to the Brockton, MA location. Note: This shop will be relocating to a new facility in the Attleboro area, within the first quarter of 2024

As a manager within the Assembly services team, you will be responsible to manage the day to day production activities of our assembly builder staff.
The Production Manager oversees our Assembly Services operations. The Production Manager manages the day-to-day production activities of the production staff in accordance with company policy, and product quality standards. The manager also identifies material needs and works closely with purchasing to ensure timely purchase orders while balancing overall inventory costs. This individual is expected to utilize labor hours efficiently and minimize non-value added activity. The manager would be responsible to identify and resolve production related problems by working closely with direct labor work force and support personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Hire, manage and develop and direct the workflow of the production staff.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Must have the ability to multi-task effectively and efficiently and adapt to changing priorities.
- Assist in managing the production schedule and process
- Measure and monitor production costs and determine quality standards.
- Monitor production practices and staff shift appropriately.
- Control raw and finished goods material on production floor.
- Manage proper product handling standards and enforce quality-control programs.
- Keep abreast of health and safety strategies.
- Oversee the Production Floor managing day to day assembly processes.
- Implement the production plan to assure on time delivery and highest quality standards. Assure that the schedule is designed to gain maximum utilization of manpower, equipment, and material on all shifts.
- Plan and lead control of production quality to reach specific quality objectives and maximum customer satisfaction. Assure that all UL and ISO standards are met on an ongoing basis.
- Work with Director to ensure adequate staffing and that direction and disciplines are in place on a day-to-day basis.
- Establish an atmosphere where continuous improvement is the goal.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills in interacting with cross-functional departments including: Management, Purchasing, Operations, Sales.
Education and Expierence:
- 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing and degree in mechanical engineering, materials technology, business management, chemistry, industrial engineering, or process engineering.
- Experience with UL508a and ISO9001:2015 is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and CAD preferred.
