Job Description
Summary: Seeking a Production Manager with experience in a manufacturing environment and proficiency in MS Office applications.
Requirements:
Two-year college degree or related field required; Four-year college degree preferred.
3-5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
Ability to travel to other locations including foreign travel.
ISO/TS 16949 knowledge helpful; ability to become an internal auditor.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in 5S methodology and 6-sigma methodology.
Experience in extruding, coating, mixing, and/or converting and web handling.
Responsibilities:
Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws with special emphasis on safety, environmental and reporting nonconforming situations to the Technical and Plant Managers with recommended or executed corrective action.
Lead the manufacturing processes by establishing a team-based approach to process optimization to improve efficiencies and quality while establishing and maintaining key performance indicators
Establish safe manufacturing practices according with corporate requirements.
Direct lean manufacturing efforts such as 6-S in production.
Interact with customers on process and quality issues which may require travel to their facilities.
Ensure sufficient personnel are available to meet business needs, including cross-training of production personnel.
Develop future production concepts for the manufacturing department, including material flow analyses and production process analyses.
Pay Details: $40.00 to $54.00 per hour
