Production Manager

MISA Metal Processing located in Portland, TN is searching for a Production Manager This person should be a hands on site leader who can promote a positive culture and achieve P&L accomplishments. The Production Manager will report directly to the General Manager and lead the day-to-day business activities. This location is a 3 shift steel slitting operation

Responsibilities:

· Enforce all safety related policies and partners with the Safety Engineer to formulate and complete safety preventive and corrective actions.

· Lead the Safety Team through monthly objectives, audits, and improvement activities. Maintains related tracking documents and records.

· Lead efforts for corrective and preventative activities related to processing and handling of product.

· Manage production related expenses to defined budget.

· Purchase of all packaging, production, and slitter supplies.

· Maintain all monthly metric tracking and reporting documents concerning production for the management meetings.

· Analyze key operational reports and resolves production, equipment and supply related problems to ensure minimal impact to costs and prevent operational delays.

· Establish efficient methods of scheduling product/personnel and manufacturing activities.

· Coordinate monthly cycle counts and annual inventory.

· Develop/revise standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.

· Conduct bi-weekly plant meetings with all plant personnel to a prescribed agenda and maintain records of attendance.

· Drive employee development for all direct reports and retains records.

· Conduct periodic review of direct reports.

Qualifications:

7 years’ experience required in the metal processing or fabrication industry (Slitter/Blanking experience a plus)

Operational management experience in a manufacturing environment with P&L responsibility

A proven skill set demonstrating effective communication, planning and organization skills

Great leadership and communications skills needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
