Acara Solutions is seeking multiple Maintenance Technicians for our growing client in Phoenix, AZ. These are direct hire opportunities with great benefits. Relocation assistance is provided for non-local candidates. Please note: MUST BE ABLE TO TRAIN IN CHINA FOR 3-6 WEEKS (all expenses paid by company, including visa/passport if needed) Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform preventative/predictive maintenance to all production equipment as required
- Work side-by-side with experienced technician(s) during equipment repair and learn smart/safe work practices
- Complete small electrical and mechanical projects based on direction given from Supervisor
- Demonstrate safe work practices and follow company safety policies, procedures and regulations at all times
- Repair and replace electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic and electronic components such as motors, contractors, relays, timers, types of switches, PLCs, light curtains, motor controls and valves
- Run new power supply lines to new/relocated equipment according to regulations and company policy
- Wire new control panels according to supplied drawings and verbal instructions while adhering to applicable standards and regulations
- Recognize and diagnose faults on electrical equipment or systems, which may involve complex interlocking, interrelated circuits, integrated systems and complex sequencing
- Install, examine, replace and repair electronic wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
- Maintain production equipment to maximize operating performance and assist with maintaining electrical spare parts' inventory levels
- Perform repairs on equipment to restore them to proper and safe work conditions
- Perform installation, set up, modification and relocation of equipment to accommodate or improve production requirements
- Read/write electrical and electronic schematics/diagrams, basic hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience with strong problem-solving skills, preferably honed in a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial environment with multiple priorities
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Troubleshooting experience with electrical and mechanical equipment, PLC systems, Robots, AC drives, DC drives, servo drives, motion control, HMI interface, motor controls, safety sensors, and relays
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics and ladder/function block logic
- Demonstrate working knowledge of industrial PCs and PLCs (Siemens Step 7, Beckhoff TwinCat, etc.) and electric circuitry consisting of contractors, relays, main voltage/control voltage, limit switches and proximity sensors
- Ability to work within a team environment and interact with all areas of production
- Mechanical aptitude/ interest
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High degree of attention to detail, precision and follow through
- Willing and able to work rotating shift
- Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Systems (CMMS)
- Technical degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Techniques, or related subject
