About the role
The Production Designer is responsible for day-to-day production design projects for StudioZ. This person possesses the ability to complete complex projects from start to finish. This position requires you to excel at design system thinking; understanding both design intention and production requirements. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do at StudioZ and you will work closely with the production and creative teams on all projects.
In this role, you'll need to prioritize deadlines, stay organized, pay attention to the nitty-gritty details, and switch between different creative and production tasks. It's also crucial to be a people person, excellent at communication, and skilled in taking creative feedback in stride. You should be a self-motivated go-getter who can work on your own, but also thrive in a team. Ideally, you have experience in agencies or with in-house brands, especially in the creative and fast-paced world.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Craft a wide variety of materials, including (but not limited to) brand and campaign style guides, toolkits, email templates, landing pages, social media, paid digital advertising, slide decks, digital and print whitepapers, one-pagers, trade show booth design, and swag.
Extend and translate established creative concepts into production-ready digital, web, and print content.
Ensure accurate file assets for final release and collaborate with vendors for color testing, print quality and quality control.
Deep understanding of current design trends, UX/UI principles, and standard methodologies for digital channels, brand systems, digital interactive production design, print production, graphic design, large-scale event design.
Use and contribute to design systems, design templates and component libraries.
Partner with Creative Directors, Art Directors and Designers in conjunction with broader Zillow teams to help establish Studio Z’s overall design vision, philosophy, and processes.
Knowledge of DAM systems, including tagging, captioning and asset organization.
Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on final proofs and mock-ups, addressing any issues that may arise.
Help develop motion design processes that enable production flow.
Ongoing research into tools and technologies that improve quality and efficiency.
Up-to-date on ADA compliant design.
Mastery of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Figma.
Who you are
5+ years working experience as a Production Designer.
Understanding of design principles, with a desire to elevate all content crafted.
Ability to communicate ideas efficiently.
Adept at prioritizing work and balancing multiple projects at once.
Strong attention to detail and experience working under tight deadlines.
Self-motivated and positive, collaborative and accountable for your work.
Value feedback as a critical means for personal and professional growth.
Have some knowledge of AI tools that benefit creative production workstreams.
Have an online portfolio that shows off a range of design styles, diversity of project types and your outstanding design skills.
Comfortable with remote based design collaboration.
Real estate knowledge and a love to tell stories of home a plus.
