YOU

As a Production Coordinator, you will support the Automatic Team Members and Management in achieving production goals through scheduling, posting and closing work orders and providing, research for special projects and being a resource for quality concerns and/or questions. Assist Automatics and Fabrication departments by slitting steel according to production needs and tracking inventory, and ordering raw materials needed for production purposes and assist in all inventories within the production department.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)

Ensure that all Work Order information is correct, add information as needed, and forward to the shop floor for production. Post completed Work Orders, ensuring that correct materials, components, quantities, and identification is noted before closing. Schedule and track components sent out for processing or coating. Provide inventory support by monitoring the usage and needs of the department. (60%)

Processing all the raw materials for the Production Departments including slitting ordering and tracking of materials needed for production. Communicate with the shop floor, sales, and shipping to ensure that all commitments are met on time and to satisfy our customers’ needs (30%)

Provide support for the Auto Department and Plant Leadership on special projects, including formulating recommendations based upon research and analysis. (10%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
  • Attention to Detail: ability to monitor and review work for completeness.
  • Adaptability & Flexibility: ability to think and act effectively under pressure.
  • Communication: able to communicate one-on-one, small group settings and via email.
  • Computer Skills: proficiency in typing.
  • Customer Focus: ability to problem solve in a timely and effective manner.
  • Teamwork: ability to work with other team members to accomplish group goals.
  • Accountability & Dependability: ability to show up to work on time, and follows instructions, policies, and procedures.

This job operates in a professional office environment where standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers/scanners, etc. are frequently used.

This job does not require travel.

This full-time, non-exempt position is located in McKinney, TX.

Pay

$27.12 - $35.24/ hour
