Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Production Support Clerk to join our team. The Production Clerk will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to warehouse operations and production. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has experience with warehouse operations.
Duties:
- Upload and process all production and consumption daily for shipments.
- Be able to navigate PPMS, DP Exchange and SAP Systems
- Schedule carriers for shipments as needed.
- Assist Scheduler in any duties as assigned
- Utilize Export Packing List with electronic data to BDP for exports
- Perform Lag Checks in the Warehouse
- Maintain accurate Inventory Control Records
- Eliminate material purchasing errors by conducting regular inventory checks during the week
- Analyze production costing to promote the accuracy of the costing system
- Improve daily credits to the plant by scheduling assets accordingly
- Communicate with Production Supervisors and the Business/Sales Team regarding weekly scheduling requirements
- Provide weekly scheduling spreadsheet to the Corporate Planning/ Business and Sales Team and update changes as needed
- Conduct weekly Planning Meetings and communicate any changes to the Production Management Team and the Corporate Business and Sales Team as needed
- Communicate daily with Corporate Scheduler/ Planner to stay current with business/customer needs and business/customer feedback
- Communicate daily with Process Engineers and discuss any pertinent information regarding trials or special instructions (OI) for new business, as well as with (OI’s)on daily production runs
- Run inventory report of essential materials for production lines
- Monitor cycle lag checks, identify errors, maintain and issue lag check reports
- Identify missing/extra inventory, recommend dispositions, make adjustments
- Plan and perform Annual Physical Inventory (semi-finished and finished goods)
- Manage 1st vs 2nd stage consumption for WIP inventory
- Monitor Inventory for waste cutoff and issue orders accordingly
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or production environment is preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn scheduling systems software
- Excellent people skills
- Excellent phone etiquette with Customers (the ability to use proper language, listen and take notes, stay positive and remain cheerful, speak clearly, and allow for interruptions to occur during conversations)
- Ability to be on foot / walking for significant portions of the day (4 hours or more)
- Ability to develop and navigate through spreadsheets as needed.
