Job Summary
A Production Associate is required to be cross trained on multiple job tasks within the factory/warehouse. This includes assembly, fabrication, and general manual labor tasks such as loading, unloading, lifting and moving materials. The successful candidate must be able to work successfully and flex to different areas, read and follow work instructions, meet all quality standards, have an excellent safety record, and meet all attendance requirements.
This role has been designated by the Company as Safety Sensitive.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
Prefer two years or more of experience in manufacturing, warehouse or service environment.
Must be presently assigned at Trane Waco through Spherion for a minimum of 90 days service.
Prior work history including attendance, safety, and work rule violations will be considered.
Must have demonstrated good attendance to be considered.
Must be willing and available to work in all areas of the plant.
Warehouse positions will require active Forklift certification or be willing/able to obtain if placed in this position.
Willing to work overtime as required.
Able to work any position assigned
Must be willing to work any and all shifts.
Physical Requirements:- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal company and external associates, both written and orally. Mobility within the work facility.
- Lift and carry up to 25 Lbs occasionally, 15 Lb's repetitively, or 10 Lbs continuously from floor to waist high for more than 2/3 of the work shift
- Lift/carry up to 40 Lbs occasionally, 20 Lbs repetitively, or 10 Lbs continuously from waist to shoulder height for more than 2/3 of the work shift
- Reach over the head repetitively for more than 2/3 of the work shift
- Grip and pinch with hands and fingers repetitively, using fine motor dexterity and eye hand coordination, for more than 2/3 of the work shift
- Stand continuously for up to three hours at a time
- Bend, twist, squat, kneel, and/or stoop repetitively for more than 2/3 of work shift
- Walk and climb stairs occasionally for more than 2/3 of the work shift
- Read and understand method sheets and assembly diagrams and follow written and oral directions.
