Position Title: Production Associate
JOB PROFILE:
Assemble automotive and/or other industrial components using manual and automated methods. Sub-assemble, inspect, and pack the finished product by performing the following duties individually or through teamwork.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As required, install the necessary component parts for the final assembly.
Inspect each part per the Inspection Plan.
Responsibilities include sub-assembly, inspection and packaging of all parts required to satisfy the customer’s demand.
QUALIFICATION:
To perform these tasks successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, and operating equipment utilizing verbal and written instructions as a Reference. Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and work well with others.
REASONING ABILITY:
Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in workplace situations. Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS: N/A Daily manual production reporting and equipment/quality checks will be completed. All recorded information must be legible and will comply with the established format.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Daily physical demands include but are not limited to standing for the entire work shift; walking; dexterity in the areas of handling, feeling, and reaching with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to lift 25 pounds and up to 50 pounds. The visual requirements include the ability to inspect pre-assembled components and completed assemblies.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· High school graduate
· Must have demonstrated equipment operational skills. Good writing, communication, and verbal skills
· 1 – 3 years of proven experience in a distribution facility type setting
