Job Purpose:
This is a key position that will support Lionel’s train project managers and Director of Project Management as well as working interdepartmentally across the company. The Production Assistant will be responsible for helping with / owning several aspects of the Production Process (i.e. Help maintain system information, entering Purchase Orders / Work orders, enter and track capital tooling requests and POs, assist with Licensing tasks, facilitate the shipping and tracking of all products, etc..)
Responsibilities:
1. Assistance to Project Managers:
a. Licensing
i. Handle initial submission on licensor site
ii. Send pre-pro, take photos, and upload to site
iii. Coordinate final samples to be shipped
iv. Keep record of finals and tracking in a tracker
v. Keep track of holograms reorder and inventory
vi. Work with Director of Licensing on Disney and WB line list per year
b. Responsible for OBS date upload- biweekly CSV upload
c. Work closely with China team / Factories - review labels, ship samples, packaging, manual, and quote requests
d. Enter PO’s and MRO PO’s
e. Enter sales order for samples
f. Setting up new item numbers in Netsuite, adding components in BOM and check licensed box
g. Finalize RFQ packages for vendors by combining art and final Netsuite information to send to vendor
h. Note take during P Review, category and special meetings
i. Send and review packaging and manual requests to creative team
j. Coordinate shipping products to China
k. Physical pack out of projects when required
2. Interdepartmental work
a. Marketing-
a. Catalog reviews for sku, price, image and grammatical accuracy
b. Assist with pricing and pre-sell uploads.
c. Enter sales orders for samples.
d. Participate in on-site event and media activation including warehouse sales, tours and programming, photo or video shoots
b. IT department-
a. Coordinate Personalized schedule from off season and busy season.
b. Making sure pre-sell button gets checked and unchecked.
c. Making sure OBS dates are uploaded correctly.
c. Accounting- receive in PO and MRO PO and dispute costs from vendors. Clean open PO report
d. Creative- Send requests for manual and packaging. Assist with art upload to vendor
e. Engineering- Send requests for manual and packaging. Enter sales order and purchase orders
f. Customer service- Enter manuals online and enter sales orders for samples
g. Warehouse- printing labels for MUSA products, receive in inventory, creating transfer orders or work orders, fulfillin licensor sales order. Help unload containers, labeling, pack-outs, product inspection.
h. Call center- Assist with pricing for employee’s order and problem solve personalized orders. Request RMA with licen returns.
3. Capital Expense / Tooling Management
a. Create and forward Capital Tooling Request forms for all product
b. Create MRO PO and forward to China PM/Factory upon approval
c. Create and maintain ledger of all capital tooling requests and POs to compare against budget
d. Create and assign tooling numbers
e. Create tooling records in Netsuite
4. Other duties as needed and assigned by management.
The ideal candidate is analytical, an effective communicator, enjoys new challenges and working in a team environment and proficient in Microsoft Excel and Oracle Netsuite.
Skills/Qualifications:
Required:
- 1-2 years equivalent work experience
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft office products
- Time management, organizational skills, data entry, technical writing, problem solving and resolution skills
- Organized, self-disciplined and professional in demeanor
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University/College
- Netsuite or similar inventory management software experience
- Experience working with licensed products (submissions, approvals, testing, etc...)
- Previous experience with consumer goods product manufacturing, testing and approvals

Pay: $16.82 - $19.23 per hour
