An Engineering Team Coordinator for Dorman provides ongoing, foundational support to the engineering team members through the coordination of samples and information management. This person will directly support several engineers throughout the product development cycle. Job Summary
The Product Coordinator provides ongoing, foundational support to Product Team members through the coordination of material management. The Product Coordinator works in conjunction with the Project and Product managers to maintain a consistent flow of product development and ensure competing deadlines are met. Must be highly organized and show ability to drive for results.
Responsibilities and Duties/Essential Duties
- Direct support to Product Management in the execution of the new product development process.
- Collect, manage and organize market data and present to product management.
- Organization and maintenance of product samples and product sample library.
- Manage day-to-day product development updates and submissions on internal project tracker.
- Order, ship, track and maintain product samples on behalf of team, both domestically and internationally.
- Coordination of product testing on vehicles, including identification and scheduling.
- Track project costs to ensure expenses are in line with project budget.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
High school, or equivalent work experience
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Detail-oriented, multitasking go-getter with the ability to work independently and across departments to accomplish tasks.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills; organized and methodical; and an ability to problem solve on the go.
Experience working in the Automotive Industry or the Automotive Aftermarket preferred but not necessary.
Strong computer skills – Specifically Mircosoft Office.
Physical Requirements
Capability to lift 50-75 pounds.
Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen. Noise level is usually moderate.
