Our Trust & Safety team's commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community. The Product Policy team develops and reviews our community policies to promote a positive and safe environment for all of our Users and Content Creators to enjoy and express themselves.
As a Product Policy Manager for Brazil, you will be an expert on the policy, media, and technology landscape of the sub-region and what makes it unique. You will be part of a global and regional team, ensuring that our policies fit the legal and cultural local environments.
It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance.
Some content viewed may violate our community guidelines which include but are not limited to bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; murder.
What will I be doing?
- You will craft and implement content policies for Brazil, with local insights which are in line with global Trust and Safety policies
- Continuously evaluate, propose, and execute improvements for existing processes and policies;
- You will organize and articulate ambiguous and complex ideas or issues into clear documentation and analysis;
- Track regulatory and industrial policy development in local markets, and iterate content policy;
- You'll act as an escalation point of contact for the region, align with all stakeholders, and respond to emergency content safety-related cases.
What should I bring with me?
- At least 5 years of overall work experience
- Over 2 years of experience in content policy, regulatory frameworks, or public policy, specifically in technology/social media/content.
- You have a deep interest in content management and online community development
- An ability to speak and write to a fluent level in Portuguese.
- Superb written and oral communication skills in English.
- An ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $88920 - $196544 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
