As a Product Marketing Manager for Univar Solutions, you will drive the P&L performance of the Water Treatment specialty and differentiated product lines across multiple industry market segments. This position will work closely with key suppliers and internal personnel to support successful long-term growth and will collaborate with customers, suppliers, field management, Application Development Specialists, and field sales to establish and implement successful programs that benefit both Univar USA and our suppliers.
What you'll do:
Responsible for enterprise relationships with suppliers. This includes mapping and engaging interactions with management, technical, marketing, and supply teams.
Accountable for P&L of selected product/s within market segments.
Assist in the implementation, and execution, of the procurement, supply, sales, marketing, financial and logistical strategy.
Support and lead the negotiation of pricing and buying plans.
Works closely with the Product Specialists to deliver efficient information and response time to field sellers.
Works closely with procurement, finance, and account payable to resolve supplier issues and remove supply chain issues.
Works closely with marketing on campaigns, push products, and supplier engagement.
Provides regular market updates to the field organization on assigned products, and coordinates training with suppliers for both technical and commercial.
Prepares and submits reports as directed.
Provides mentorship to Field Organization, and others, on day-to-day issues, i.e. pricing, service, procurement, and supply.
Facilitate business growth and communications relevant to the assigned market.
What you'll need:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred)
Successful experience (5 years minimum) in sales and/or product management.
Water treatment industry experience is preferred.
Analytical solid skills are needed to develop strategic data-driven decisions.
Ability to develop and grow strong relationships with key suppliers and cross-functional partners (Marketing, Procurement, Finance, etc.).
High level of decision-making ability balancing supplier needs and company objectives.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle diverse and significant workloads.
Strong written, verbal and presentation abilities.
Demonstrated financial leadership skills.
Broad knowledge of chemical distribution business and functions.
Home-based, but some travel for vendor meetings, customer visits trade shows, and training.

This is a home-based opportunity. Candidates located in Texas, Chicago, IL or Philadelphia, PA are preferred.
