Director of Production

We are seeking a Director of Production who will lead our production team. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and experienced professional with a proven track record in leading large, at times concurrent, projects and teams, facilitating collaboration with internal stakeholders, clients, and vendors. This role requires a strong understanding of e-2-e authoring and publishing for print, online and mobile experiences as well as interactive media production processes, and a passion for creating engaging and effective educational content.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Drives Cross-functional Collaboration
- Conducts, with research teams, initial educational needs assessment for digital learning-media projects specific to undergraduate, graduate, and professional learners in the beauty industry.
- Facilitates communication between involved functional project teams, ensuring clarity on workflows, product objectives, milestones, and performance metrics through all stages of the project.
Develops and manages project scopes.
- Estimates the amount of production hours and production time needed for scheduling and budgeting purposes.
- Presents initial project scope to the product manager and other stakeholders to gain feedback, alignment and sign-off.
Production Management
- Develops detailed production roadmaps and ensures on-time delivery of high-quality digital products.
- Oversees the entire production lifecycle, from concept development to market launch, ensuring that all functional aspects, including design, content, and technology, are harmoniously integrated.
- Communicates project progress, setbacks, and accomplishments to the product manager and, if requested, other stakeholders
- Identifies and updates procedures required to achieve the desired outcome.
Quality Assurance
- Oversees work product or production teams to meet required qualitative standards as set forth by project scopes, production design, and functional design specifications.
- Clarifies misconceptions.
- Ensures necessary corrections, including online tests, are made before the object(s) are published.
What will make you successful here:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 8-10 years of comparable work experience in adult learning and instructional design in the production of interactive learning media or e-learning content.
- Strong familiarity with interactive media platforms, like H5P and other multimedia production tools.
- Strong familiarity with e-2-e authoring platforms, from authoring, WYSIWYG rendering, and CMS hosting to publishing for print, online, and mobile consumption.
- Proven experience in managing multiple simultaneous large-scale projects from conception to completion.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
